Our 4 yard skip hire services are perfect for small domestic projects and light commercial use. This skip size holds approximately 30–40 bin bags of waste and features a lower height for easy loading.

4 yard skips are ideal for:

✅ Small building and trade jobs

✅ Home clearouts

✅ Bathroom or kitchen refits

✅ Medium domestic renovations

✅ General household waste

Why Choose 4 Yard Skip Hire?

A 4 yard skip’s compact design makes it easier to place and load, compared to larger options. This means it’s well suited to driveways, residential areas, smaller construction sites and properties with limited access.

It also provides significantly more capacity than a 2 yard mini skip, while still being compact and cost-effective enough for domestic use.

4 Yard Skip Hire: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1) How much does a 4 yard skip hold?

Once fully loaded, your skip should be level, meaning no waste should be past the top of the skip walls. When filling your skip, it’s better to start with any heavy or bulky items first, saving any small, loose items for the end. Items such as chairs or cardboard boxes can create a lot of wasted space, so consider breaking these down before adding to the skip.

2) How long can I hire a skip for?

Our standard hire period is 14 days. Longer hire periods can be arranged by prior agreement.

3) How quickly will my skip arrive?

Deliveries take place Monday to Friday, usually with a 2-day lead time.

4) Do I need a permit?

You’ll only need a permit if the skip is placed on a public road or piece of land. Please get in touch for more information. If the skip is to be on your property, please consider where you would like it positioned before placing your order, as it will be delivered by lorry – and narrow roads, gates or driveways could pose an issue. If you’re unsure or have any questions about skip locations and permissions, please speak to a member of our team, who will be happy to assist.

5) What happens to my waste?

We collect skips full of mixed waste and we separate this waste into different types for recycling either on site or at dedicated sites situated as locally as possible.
